Origin Foundation: THE JOURNEY SO FAR:
Origin Foundation and Workspace work hand in hand in providing support and funding to charities and organisations in Bristol that help give young people the skills and resources they need to create a brighter future for themselves and make a positive contribution to their communities. To date, the Foundation has:
Donated over £1.5M to date
in grants
Our aim is to distribute between £500K and £1m of funding per year
to Bristol charities that focus on Children and Young People.
Donating and providing grants to charities is a crucial aspect of our Foundation. However, we also believe in fostering connections between businesses and charities to encourage collaboration. This philosophy lies at the core of our vision for the Origin Foundation and our partner company, Origin Workspace.

As a co-working space, Origin Workspace is all about creating a community of collaboration, and it’s fantastic to see how the members embrace this and go out of their way to support the selected charity partners.
CREATING OPPORTUNITIES /SUPPORTING CHARITIES
From taking part in sponsored challenges, to gifting their time and expertise to young entrepreneurs and taking part in volunteer days, Origin Workspace are fortunate to have such active and passionate members and staff.
But it also goes beyond this – through the gifted space and Charity Desk Programme, which means the charity partners gain access to connections and contacts which fuel their success. The young people they support get to experience professional environments, helping to break down barriers and equip them with valuable skills.
Over the years, Origin Workspace has gradually deepened the collaborations with charities supporting causes close to its heart and expanded to partner with other networks that share the workspace’s goals. The below provides a glimpse into what the Origin Workspace community has achieved so far, as well as providing inspiration for the future.

When the idea of Origin Workspace was born, giving something back to Bristol’s communities was part of the founding vision. The aim was to place an emphasis on access and opportunity for Bristol’s youth community and put mental and physical wellbeing at the heart of everything the workspace does.

in sponsorship through sporting events raised for Access Sport, Gympanzees, Prince's Trust.
OVER £13,000
in gifted space and reduced desk costs for charities.
OVER 100 YOUNG PEOPLE
have been introduced to Origin Workspace and the world of work through collaboration with South Bristol Youth, Youth Moves, Common Purpose and school partnerships.
OVER 200 HOURS
of volunteer time provided by Origin Workspace members and staff for Access Sport, Gympanzees, Prince’s Trust and South Bristol Youth.
